Shelby Eastern Schools serves the communities of Morristown and Waldron in the eastern part of Shelby County. The school corporation is located approximately 35 miles southeast of Indianapolis, Indiana. The corporation schools consist of Morristown Elementary School, Waldron Elementary School, Morristown Jr./Sr. High School, and Waldron Jr./Sr. High School.

Morristown Elementary School and Waldron Elementary School enroll age 3 through grade 5 students. Major instruction includes language arts, reading, mathematics, science, health, and social studies. Each elementary school is staffed with music, art, and physical education teachers, a media specialist and a school counselor. Computers assist teachers and students as a learning tool. Each elementary school includes a science laboratory.

Morristown Jr./Sr. High School and Waldron Jr./Sr. High School enroll students in grades 6 through 12. Each school provides a school-within-a-school for grades 6 through 8. Each high school requires the Core 40 diploma for graduation. Students earn high honors in academics, athletics, and other extra-curricular activities. Blue River Careers Program and Walker Career Center provides vocational training for high school students interested in training for a specific occupation.

A 2000 school construction project added instructional space that allows for flexibility and student population growth well into the future. All buildings are wired with a fiber optics connection which allows for a large range of current and future opportunities such as video conferencing and advanced telecommunications.
