The stretch from Christmas vacation to spring break can be a challenge as we frequently seem to be at the mercy of the weatherman. Our goal is to have our kids in school each day possible according to our regular schedule, while placing a priority on the safety of our students and staff. With winter weather still ahead of us, we will continue to assess conditions when making decisions about potential delays and cancellations.
State roads, country roads, school lots, school sidewalks, blowing snow conditions, cold temperatures, and wind chill warnings all factor into a decision to go to school on time, delay or close. We know it is tough for working parents to arrange good supervision for their children on days we delay or close. We also know that dangerous conditions can occur, and you don’t want your children out in the extreme situations that warrant a delay or dismissal. Thanks for your patience as we seek to make the best decisions on these cold winter mornings.
