Attention All WHS Alumni!
You may be familiar with the book, The Waldron Story or Conn’s Creek Reflections, written and published as part of the bicentennial celebration by the Waldron High School Senior Composition Class of 1976 and edited by their teacher, Kenneth D. Sever. Following the 2019 Waldron Alumni Banquet, a small group was formed to discuss how we might capture, illustrate, and share events related to the Waldron Community since 1976. There exists an endless plethora of memories, anecdotes, stories, and events that you, someone who is connected in some way to the Waldron community, has tucked away in your “memory bank”.
We intend for this to be an extension of the history of the Waldron Community initiated through The Waldron Story…or Conns Creek Reflections. We aim to focus on the events, activities, and people, who impacted our lives while embedding history into our stories. Perhaps the question, “where are you now because of Waldron” might serve as the impetus to stimulate your thinking.
We invite you to join us by spreading the word among former classmates and members of the community, past, and present! We welcome contributions from any and all former WHS students, from any time period.
Collect your thoughts. Write them down or capture them in a recording using your phone. Once you’ve captured them, share them with us.
- snail mail to David Sever, 1262 Heritage Trail, Franklin, Indiana 46131,
- the Waldron Will FaceBook page,
- or any means with which you are comfortable communicating. If you would prefer to share your stories directly with someone on the planning committee we would welcome an opportunity to speak with you face to face or by phone. If so, or if you know of someone who might be willing to be interviewed, please let us know.
